Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church
(1400 Stuart) upper fellowship room.
Having recently returned from three months in Palestine, Kimmy Meinecke will share stories, pictures and perspectives from Palestinians about daily life under occupation. Meinecke, a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American, lived in Bethlehem in the occupied Palestinian territories and worked with Palestinians and Israelis as part of an Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel, a program of the World Council of Churches. Living amongst Palestinians and visiting them in their homes and places of work, Meinecke, in an international team, was privileged to hear and see communities living and thriving in hope despite the frustration and reality of military occupation.
